Hey jim its Josh. I'm thinking about building a mini ramp in my back yard. I have a bunch of wood in the attic and their are a bunch of houses being built around were I can probably get some scrap wood. I'm thinking about 8 feet wide and about the same height as your original one I skated at your house. Nothing epic but just something cool I can skate when I can't get a ride to the skatepark or your house. LOl. Anyway I know you probably were going to anyway but could you save any extra wood from your bowl (if their is any) O ya thanks for the board to its great! Good luck with the bowl I can't wait to skate it.
Well good news and bad news. I'm going to have to go smaller. 5 foot wide 3 feet high. Since the shortest pieces of 2X4 I have for ribbing are 5 feet long. Good news is I raided that construction site again and got enough wood where I can rib the flat bottom and build one side of the deck. So I have pretty much everything I need minus 7-10 cinder blocks, 1 2x4x10, and 3-4 2x4x12. Which I can pick up at home depot or lowes for like 15-20 bucks. ohh this kind of goes with Mr. kulas comment up there. I think I'm gonna cope it with PVC since I found like 10 ft. of PVC at the construction site as well! Anyway I'll be sure to call you if I need some help or advice. Thanks
Well not really......nobody actually voted....and in true dictator fashion.....I've decited to take out the "roach coping" and replace it with some finely welded steel coping. Jaybin will once again add his handywork. Should be done for the big thanksgiving weekend sesh.
